Backlog

The request was successful.

Dear Office of the Public Guardian,

What is the current backlog of applications for registering lasting powers of attorney?

What has been the backlog of applications at this point for each of the last five years? (if it makes it easier, use a date for which this data was collected, eg the end of a quarter or financial year).

How long are applications now taking to be processed? How long have applications taken in each of the last five years?

How many permanent staff are employed in the OPG? How many agency staff are with the department?

How many permanent staff were employed by the OPG in 2019? How many agency staff were with the department at that point?

Yours faithfully,

John Hyde
