Award of Care Closer to Home Contract
Dear NHS Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group,
At the recent meeting of GHCCG and NKCCG on the 13th May 2015 it was stated that the contract for the Care Closer to Home would be placed and that the winning bidder would be announced by the 27th May giving time for the loosing bidder to make any objections. That period has now passed.
May I ask you the following questions
1 - Has the contract been placed or provisionally place.
2 -Who was the contract placed with or provisionally placed with.
3 - The final total value of the contract.
4 - The bid values of both bidders.
5 - The period of the contract.
6 - Confirm if any objection has been made by either bidder
7 - If an objection has been made who the objecting bidder is.
8 - The reason for the objection.
9 - Who or which organisation will be carrying out any required scrutinizing if an objection was made.
10 - If any cost will be associated to the scrutinizing.
11 - If you cannot release the said information please give the reason(s) for not being able to and the person(s) who are withholding the information.
I believe it is quite clear what I am asking for, but if you require any clarification please feel free to contact me.
This information may be passed onto a third party without further recourse to yourselves.
Yours faithfully,
Terry Hallworth

Dear Laura Ellis,
I do not accept your reasons for the refusal of the information asked for.
It would appear that the answer to the main question has already been answered and made available to the Health Service Journal whilst the public of Kirklees are being kept in the dark.
I understand that the bids may have a certain commercial sensitivity but the public have a right to answers to the other questions.
I therefore ask that an internal review of the request be made and subject to the questions not being answered in a timely manner I will refer the matter to the FOI Commissioner.
Yours sincerely,
Terry Hallworth
