Dear Broadland District Council,

I would like you to provide stats on the average wait times for an Adult Social Work needs assessment over the last 3 years. If possible please break it down by month. If the above breaches the maximum aloud to spend (Section 12 of the FOIA) on a request please prioritise the last year.

I expect a response within 20 working Days.

Freedom of Information,

Thank you for your email however I have to advise that this is not a matter which involves this Council. The reason for this is that in Norfolk, a three tier system of local government operates with each tier having differing responsibilities. The vast majority of local services are provided by the County Council – including public health, libraries, education. In particular, adult social care services are the responsibility of Norfolk County Council and this would cover the matters you raised below. As a result Broadland, as a district council, does not have these responsibilities and so we would have no involvement in this matter. To obtain this information you will need to contact the County Council – and this may be done via www.norfolk.gov.uk, if you have not already done so.

I’m sorry I cannot assist on this occasion but I trust this response will nevertheless be helpful. If, for whatever reason, you wish to get back to me please feel free to do so. In particular if you are unhappy with how your request was handled please make contact and I will explain how you can make a complaint either to the Council or to the Information Commissioner.

Regards
