Dear South Yorkshire Police,

Could you please provide the following information:

1. The average time (in days) from application to grant of a firearm certificate in the calendar year 2023

2. The average time (in days) from application to grant of a shotgun certificate in the calendar year 2023

Although the Home Office publishes annual statistics on firearm licensing (see https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics...), the information I am requesting is not included in these statistics and therefore not already publicly available.
