Availability of housing stock

Request for Information

I refer to your request for information received on 2 July 2020 in which you asked the Council for the following information:

"I under the terms of the freedom of information act 2000 I would like to request any information on any vacant residential property. The property address, details, the length of time the property has been vacant. For any properties in the east kilbride or Lanark areas.

This is information that has been previously provided so do not believe you have a restriction to providing this."

Please note that the Council cannot accept your request because the request does not contain your full name. I have enclosed Guidance from the Scottish Information Commissioner to Scottish Public Bodies on this issue.

Please resubmit your request with your name. As the information you have requested changes on a daily basis, can we also please request that you detail which date you would like this information based upon. We would prefer a future date as we are unable to back track information.

As soon as we receive the amended request, we will deal with your request. We will respond to you within 20 working days.

Request for Review

The Council has a Review Panel to deal with complaints from people who are not happy about the way that it has handled their request. Staff not involved in the original decision will handle any review.

If you want to complain, you can ask the Review Panel to look at the way that we have dealt with your request. It will consider whether we have complied with the requirements of FOISA. Please note that if you wish to complain, you must do so by 27 September 2020. You must explain why you are not happy when requesting a review.

Please note that the Review Panel cannot look at any decisions taken by the Council or actions of the Council or any of its employees or a service provided by it that are not connected to the handling of your request for information.
