1. How many students are registered at schools in the authority. Please provide information based on total primary and total secondary cohort.
2. How many students in total have a confirmed Autistic Spectrum Disorder diagnosis? Please provide a information based in primary and secondary cohorts.
3. Please describe the nature of provision for these students. I am interested in knowing if they are taught in their mainstream school, in resource bases / units in schools, a pupil referral unit or other forms of provision.
4. Does the authority provide a home tuition service?
5. If so, how many students are currently registered with the service?
6. How many students were registered with the service in 2016-7?

3. Please describe the nature of provision for these students. I am
interested in knowing if they are taught in their mainstream school, in
resource bases / units in schools, a pupil referral unit or other forms of
provision.
Pupils with ASD in Blaenau Gwent are educated in mainstream schools, with
additional support provided for those who require additional support, in
two primary ASD resource bases, both with capacity for 12 pupils, and a
KS3/4 ASD resource base with a capacity of 18 pupils. In addition Blaenau
Gwent has a special school that is able to cater for pupils with ASD who
meet criteria.
4. Does the authority provide a home tuition service?
Yes
5. If so, how many students are currently registered with the service?
Home tuition - 4
Community tuition - 5
6. How many students were registered with the service in 2016-7?
Throughout the year:
Home tuition - 9
Community tuition - 14
