Autism trained staff mental health
Dear Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust,
Could you please outline the numbers of staff in the following departments within Oxleas NHS Trust:- Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychotherapists, mental health nurses, social/ inclusion officers, support staff, Occupational Therapists
Could you please provide a breakdown of figures/ statistics for each of these collectives of staff mentioned above who have recieved formal autism training
Could you please identify that, if staff have recieved autism training, the duration of the training program, level of qualification recieved etc could you please link the level of qualifications in autism obtained to each cohort listed above
Following on from my previous FOI request, can you please provide your care pathway structural flowchart/ policies for adults identified as autistic with comorbid mental health conditions
Could you please outline the "successful" treatment policies that you have implemented that has seen the numbers of adult autistics with mental illness dramatically reduce over the last 5 years within Oxleas (as per previous FOI request data). Could you identify if this is due to referring to specialist units or professionals (only 2 people were identified in your 2018 figures so this won't be hard to establish), is this due to patients being treated in primary care, are you not identifying autistics with mental illness or are you dumping them out of the system? (Off rolling) Please could you outline the anonymised treatment program and outcomes for the 2 adult Autistics identified as being autistic with commorbid mental illness and treated by Oxleas in 2018
Please could you provide the care pathway structural framework, procedures and policies for an individual suspected of being on the autism spectrum but with a diagnosis of mental illness and under secondary care with a psychiatrist or the CMHT
Yours faithfully,
Madame Casiafore
