FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST
I refer to your request made under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. Please
find below a response on behalf of East Ayrshire Council.
You requested:
Information regarding autism diagnoses, waiting times, staff, and
requests. Autism services are provided by NHS Ayrshire and Arran and so East Ayrshire Council does
not hold this information.
As the Council does not hold recorded information falling within the scope of your request, I
am providing notification under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act
2002 that the Council does not hold the information requested and so is unable to comply
with your request.
This response is being provided under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. If
you are dissatisfied with this decision or the way in which your request has been handled,
you are entitled to require the Council to review its decision. A copy of the Council’s review
procedures are attached for your information.

REVIEW PROCEDURE
Any applicant who is dissatisfied with the way that East Ayrshire Council has dealt with a
request for information is entitled to require the Council to review its decision.
STAGE 1
Any applicant, who is unhappy with a decision of the Council, should write to the Council
requesting a review. A request for a review must be made no later than 40 working days
following the expiry of the period for responding to a request for information. You should

The Council will comply promptly with the request for a review and in any event by no later

advised of the right to appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner.
STAGE 2
If an applicant is still unhappy following Stage 1, the applicant may appeal to the Scottish
Information Commissioner for a decision. Such appeals should be made within 6 months
following the outcome of Stage 1 above, either:
