Autism assessments in the WHSCT as of Jan 2014
Dear Western Health and Social Care Trust (Northern Ireland),
1. As of 1 January 2014, how many adults are on the waiting list for diagnostic assessment in WHSCT within each of the following localities:
Fermanagh
Omagh
Strabane
Derry
Limavady
2 As of 1 January 2014, how many adults have already been diagnosed with autism in WHSCT within each of the following localities:
Fermanagh
Omagh
Strabane
Derry
Limavady
3 As of 1 January 2014, of the adults already diagnosed with autism, how many of them were originally diagnosed within children services and how many have only received a diagnosis after becoming adults Please detail for each of the following localities

4. Of the adults either on the waiting list for diagnostic assessment or already diagnosed with autism, how many of them are already on the informal register as having being diagnosed with a learning disability?
5.. In a response dated 13 March 2013 to an earlier FOI, WHSCT indicated it had already recruited an ASD practitioner, was then currently recruiting a permanent 1.0 WTE Band 8b Clinical Psychologist for AS and had plans to recruit a temporary
Band 7 occupational therapist.
6. . If a clinical phychologist has been recruited, for how long has he/she been in post and what is his/her prior experience in autism ?
7.1 On what date(s) were advertisements posted for the occupational therapist?
7.2 What were the reasons for advertising a temporary appointment?
7.3 When is the occupational therapist expected to be in post?
8. Does WHSCT have any current plans to recruit additional professionals to posts within the multidisciplinary team described in the Adult Pathway for Autism ? What posts will be advertised and on what date will advertisements be published?
