Further to your request for information about Autism, received on 02
April 2015, I write to ask for clarification of some aspects of your
request.

 

·         Also how many individuals do you have over 16.   Do you mean how
many individuals in the borough are over the age of 16 or how many
individuals over the age of 16 have a diagnosis of autism?

 

The Freedom of information Act 2000 and Environmental Information
Regulations 2004 allow the council 20 working days in which to respond to
information requests.  However, the “clock” stops when we need to seek
clarification in order to locate or identify relevant information.  Once
we have received the requested clarification, I will proceed with your
request.

 

If you wish to proceed with this request please send your clarification to

extremely sorry for the delay in responding to you. However I can now tell
you the following:

 

I wondered how many children 16 and under you have within your region with
a statement If diagnosis of autism?

There are 251 Walsall pupils 16 years and under with a statement of SEN
with a diagnosis of ASD (autism). 

 

Also how many individuals do you have over 16?

There are 29 Walsall pupils aged 16 and above with a statement of SEN with
a diagnosis of ASD (autism).

 

Most of the information that we provide in response to Freedom of
Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004
