Authorised Photographers at 27th May 2010 Council Meeting
Dear Cambridge City Council,
Could you please release the number of individuals given permission to film or take photographs at the 27th May 2010 full council meeting.
If possible I would appreciate it if you could briefly note who they were eg. the council's official photographer, press, or councillors' families.
Many thanks,

Answer to the FoI below.
1. There were no individual permissions given at this meeting. Because
of the ceremonial nature of the Annual Meeting, at which a new Mayor is
elected, the Mayor began by announcing:
*I would like to remind Members of the public that under normal
circumstances photography is not permitted at Council Meetings. However
during the first section of this agenda * the election of the new
Mayor and Deputy Mayor * we feel it appropriate that photography be
permitted. I would however ask that Members of the public do not leave
their seats or interrupt the proceedings.*
2. We have no record of the numbers of guests of the Mayor, Deputy
Mayor and Councillors who would have taken photos during the Mayor
Making. There was a photographer from the Cambridge Evening News and an
official Council photographer.

Despite no permission being given a number of individuals were taking photographs at the meeting.
I am concerned the council's rules are inconsistently enforced.
