Thank you for your Freedom of Information request dated 31 May 2018 in
which you stated: Please confirm why the audit opinion has not been
included on the statement of account for 2017 to 2018. Also please publish
the audit opinion for the statement of accounts for 2017 - 2018. The
response of Sandwell Council is given below: With regard to the 2017/18
Statement of Accounts, the statutory requirement is for the draft
(unaudited) Statement of Accounts to be published by 31st May 2018 which
it has been. Our external auditors are now in the process of auditing this
draft Statement of Accounts therefore it is not expected that an audit
opinion is published at this point in time.
 
 
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your
request, and should be addressed to:
