Dear Department for Culture, Media and Sport,
How is the DCMS ensuring that taxpayers money delivered through BDUK is being spent as per the BDUK guidance?
In particular, how is the Department satisfying itself that funding is not being spent over-building pre-existing Fibre Networks e.g. those provided by Virgin Media.
Additionally, how does the Department explain the exclusion of rural areas from the benefits of the BDUK project when its prime aim was precisely to address the poor provision of this utility in these areas?
