Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,

In the Audit Commission's recent report entitled 'Highways and engineering services contract award and management' dated 8 June 2012, paragraphs 15 and 16 on page 5 refer to "another senior council officer" being involved in the meetings with the contractor.

Please could you advise:

1. The name of the officer concerned
2. The position that he/she held at the time
3. Whether the officer is still employed by Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council
4. If the officer is no longer employed, the date his/her employment ended
5. If the officer if still employed, the position he/she currently holds.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Harrison

Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,

I am concerned not to have received any response from you to this Freedom of Information Act request.

By law you should have responded promptly to me by 19 July 2012.

I should be grateful if you would supply the requested information by return.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Harrison

You are asking the Council tricky questions that they do not want anyone to ask, Wirral Borough Council did not get the name "Wirral were the abnormal is normal",
for nothing, keep pluging away, they no they have to provide the info in the end, but it will be in the end.

Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Audit Commission 'Highways and engineering services contract award and management' Report'.

This request is now more than 30 days overdue and I received no communication from you, not even an acknowledgement.

By law you should have responded to me by now.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

I hope you are a patient person now your request for information has been passed to Law HR and asset Management.
They will try to come up with some meaningless section of a non existing policy to hide behind, failing that they will just ignore your request, until the ICO eventually make them answer.

Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT,

Please could you provide me with an update on this request?

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Peter Harrison

Here is a link to an article, setting out what I feel is the background and true motivation behind Wirral Council's very poor response times.

Notably, there are just 2 people dedicated to Freedom of Information and Data at this council (one professional and one admin assistant) - which says it all really.
