Attempted thefts
Dear The National Gallery,
Hope you're well.
I'd like to request some information on the number of reported thefts and attempted thefts the National Gallery has had over the past 10 years.
Can you please provide me with a list of the number of thefts and attempted thefts for each year since 2011. Can this also please be broken down into museum property, items from the gift shop and personal belongings from visitors.
Yours faithfully,
Sophie Barker

Dear Sophie Barker
Thank you for your information request of 14 January 2020.
Please would you clarify your intended meaning of ‘museum property’. For
example, are you referring specifically to objects in the collection –
i.e., paintings in the case of the National Gallery?
Once I receive your clarification I will commence processing your request
and advise you of our deadline for response.
Kind regards
