ATM Thefts by Engineer

Tim McCormack made this Freedom of Information request to Post Office Limited Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

Post Office Limited did not have the information requested.

Dear Post Office Limited,

On the 31st July an internal memo from POL indicated that an ATM Engineer had been caught stealing from ATMs - presumably POL's

On the 7th August, again from an internal memo, it indicates that the ATM Engineer in question had been on a bit of spree in other places such as Wakefield and Edinburgh. A report from Wincor was requested.

I can find no record of a Wincor ATM Engineer being prosecuted for theft on the internet.

Could you please provide me with more details please:

a) the date and place of this engineer's prosecution

b) the amount he stole

c) the number of Post Offices he stole from

d) the locations of these Post Offices because I would like to ascertain that all losses in these branches as a result of these thefts were covered by POL.

Kind regards

Tim McCormack

Yours faithfully,

Tim McCormack
