Asylum support

Currently waiting for a response from Kent County Council, they should respond promptly and normally no later than (details).

Dear Kent County Council,

I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act:
Under the government's asylum support programme how many asylum seekers both legal and illegal have been taken in by you and can you provide a list of the local authorities that you have housed them with since January 2019 ?

Thank you for your email which we received on 10 August 2020.
 
Kent County Council (KCC) acknowledges your request for information, which
we will consider under the relevant legislation (Freedom of Information
Act 2000 and/or Environmental Information Regulations 2004).
 
Assuming KCC holds this information, we will endeavour to supply the data
to you as soon as possible but no later than 8 September 2020 (20 working
days from date of receipt).
 
We will advise you as soon as possible if we do not hold this information
or if there are exemptions to be considered and/or any costs for providing
the information.
 

Although lockdown restrictions are starting to ease, Kent County Council
continues to face unprecedented challenges in delivering front line
services and we are continuing to prioritise our resources in dealing with
the pandemic. We take our statutory duties very seriously, however we ask
for your understanding in the event that we are unable to respond to your
request within the statutory timescale. Thank you for your co-operation in

Dear ‎Mr McDonnell‏
 
I am writing to ask you to clarify your request. This is because we are
not certain that we need further details from you in order to identify and
locate the information. Therefore I should be grateful if you would please
clarify the following:
 

Please can you clarify which categories of people you are requesting
information about.  Does this include:

* Refugees resettled in the UK under the Government's official
Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme (which will soon be merging into
the UK Resettlement Scheme).
* Adult asylum seekers (and family if applicable) who are supported by
Government whilst they are awaiting decisions on their asylum claim.
* Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (and former UASC supported up to
the age of 25) who arrived in Kent and are supported by KCC. 

 
I will not be able to take this matter further without this extra
information from you. Please let me know by 18/10/2020.  
If I do not hear from you within the timeframe provided, I shall take it
that you do not wish to pursue this request and will consider the request
closed.
