Dear East Ayrshire Council,
I wish to make an FOI request under the Freedom of Information Act, 2003. Please provide, within 20 working days:
1) The number of premises (this means hotels as well as any other premises that have been repurposed) currently being used in the council area to house asylum seekers/migrants/ those individuals waiting to be processed.
2) Please provide the number of individuals being housed in the council area.
3) Please provide the names of the premises being used to house these individuals (if unable to provide this information please proceed with the rest of the request)
4) The estimated annual cost to the council of housing and supporting these individuals (if unable to provide this information please proceed with the rest of the request)

I refer to your correspondence dated 30^th of March requesting information
in relation to Asylum Seekers Accommodation.
The Council is treating your request as a request under the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and can respond as follows:
1) The number of premises (this means hotels as well as any other
premises that have been repurposed) currently being used in the council
area to house asylum seekers/migrants/ those individuals waiting to be
processed. There are no hotels or repurposed premises in East Ayrshire
currently being used for housing asylum seekers.
2) Please provide the number of individuals being housed in the
council area. This particular request should be re-directed to the Home
Office.
3) Please provide the names of the premises being used to house these
individuals (if unable to provide this information please proceed with the
rest of the request) (Response as in Q1 above)
4) The estimated annual cost to the council of housing and supporting
these individuals (if unable to provide this information please proceed
with the rest of the request) Unable to respond, Mears are the appointed
Home Office Contractor for asylum dispersal accommodation.
