Dear Greenwich Borough Council,
Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the following information please:
1. What is the current length of time visually impaired people in your area are waiting to receive an assessment of needs after a request for such assessment has been received by the council?
2. What is the current length of time visually impaired people in your area are waiting to receive an assessment of needs from the council after receiving a Certificate of Visual Impairment?
3. How many staff working in the council's sensory services hold the qualification "Rehabilitation Officer Visually Impaired" (ROVI)?
4. What is the name of the manager with overall responsibility for ensuring assessments of need for the visually impaired are carried out?

Our response is as follows:
Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request the
following information please:
1. What is the current length of time visually impaired people in your
area are waiting to receive an assessment of needs after a request for
such assessment has been received by the council?
Currently the average waiting time for an initial assessment after a
request is received is 4 days
2. What is the current length of time visually impaired people in your
area are waiting to receive an assessment of needs from the council after
receiving a Certificate of Visual Impairment?
Currently the average waiting time for an initial assessment after
receiving a Certificate of Visual Impairment is 4 days
3. How many staff working in the council's sensory services hold the
qualification "Rehabilitation Officer Visually Impaired" (ROVI)? Five
4. What is the name of the manager with overall responsibility for
ensuring assessments of need for the visually impaired are carried out?
