Dear Kevin Symm,

1. How Many Assessments have been completed todate.
2. How many clients are still to be assessed.
3. How many have had services removed.
4. How many have gone from moderate to substantial

Your calculations just don't make sence if you do an assessment per 28 days (say 1 month)
so 1 person will do 12 per year.
that means they will need approx. 450 people to do 5,500 assessments. I require an explanation as to time scale.

How many people are employed by Liverpool City Council to do the assessments.

Yours sincerely,

Audrey O'Keefe

Symm, Kevin, Liverpool City Council

Dear Ms O'Keefe

I will formally log questions 1-4 and your final comment regarding the
number of people employed to conduct assessments as a request for
information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000

However, your comment regarding our calculations cannot be treated as a
request for information. As a result I have passed it to the appropriate
department for them to provide further comment and clarification.

I will send a formal acknowledgement letter to you shortly.

I trust this is acceptable

Symm, Kevin, Liverpool City Council

Dear Ms O’Keefe

As explained in my email of the 16 March there was an element of your
email which was inadmissible under the terms of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000.

You requested clarification regarding the following:

o Your calculations just don't make sence if you do an assessment per 28
days (say 1 month) so 1 person will do 12 per year. that means they
will need approx. 450 people to do 5,500 assessments. I require an
explanation as to time scale.

After liaising with the appropriate department they have confirmed the
following:

The length of time that an assessment will take to complete will depend on
the circumstances and needs of the individual being assessed.  Some people
may be able have a complete assessment within 24 hours others may require
a number of visits and meetings to ensure that all the relevant
information is gathered and the individual is able to take part to the
best of their ability. Factors such as setting for the assessment e.g.
hospital, presence of family members and service users capacity at the
time of assessment etc all need to be factored in. It should be pointed
out that a social worker would not work 28 days wholly on one assessment
but that they would manage it as part of their caseload of approximately
65 services users.

I trust the above explanation is of assistance
