ASPA Regulations on the genetic altering of Farmed Animals
Dear Home Office Science Advisory Committee,
Please could you tell me:-
1) The genetic altering of Farmed Animals is a Scientific procedure as it is experimental, can the ASC please provide the ASPA Regulations that regulate these procedures?
2) Can you please provide evidence of the scientific studies that state genetic changes occur naturally through traditional breeding and not through Genetic engineering.
If 1) is not regulated, then please provide evidence of 2)
I have been referred to you from the ASCU :- The Animals in Science Committee does not hold the information you have requested. You may wish to follow up your query with the Home Office FOI request team who will be able to direct you to the appropriate department that hold data regarding this matter.
Yours faithfully,
sharon stratford

Dear FOI Requests,
Thank you for your reply. Today I received a reply from you :-
"In response to question 1, ASPA regulations regulate all procedures carried out for scientific and educational purposes as set out here https://www.gov.uk/guidance/guidance-on-....
In response to question 2, we do not hold this information. "
So I have closed the FOI with 'information not held' option
