Dear S Davies
Thank you for your FOI request to City of Bristol College dated 24 January
2021.
As you indicate, Davy House, one of the buildings on the College’s Ashley
Down Site, has been placed on the market for sale. Our Board of Governors
and Strategic Leadership Team are happy to confirm the College’s
commitment to remain at Ashley Down as one of our four major strategic
centres across Bristol, and to continue to offer provision there in the
longer term. Some of the proceeds from the sale of Davy House will be
invested in upgrading infrastructure and facilities at the remaining
building on the site, Cabot House, to enhance the experience of our
students there. Whilst the College’s construction skills courses will move
from Ashley Down to our new dedicated Advanced Construction Skills Centre
in Hengrove, the College will continue to offer a range of courses at the
Ashley Down Site.
I trust this answers your query but if you are not satisfied that your FOI
has been answered please email us at
[1][email address] within 14 working days. If you
remain dissatisfied with the handling of your request you have the right
to appeal to the Information Commissioner’s Office – [2]www.ico.org.uk
Yours faithfully
