ASC Diagnosis Waiting Times - May 2023 Update
Dear Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust,
I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act.
1. How many children and young people with possible autism who were referred for a
diagnostic assessment had the assessment started within 3 months of their
referral? Please provide this information as a number and as a percentage for the following date periods:
(a) April 2021-April 2022
(b) April 2022-April 2023
I already have this data from previous years, as you have previously replied to FOI requests for the same data for earlier date ranges.
2. As of May 2023, What is a) the median and b) the longest wait for the start of the diagnostic assessment process for people still waiting for a full assessment to be COMPLETED?
3. As of May 2023, how many children and young people have been waiting longer than 18 weeks for an initial assessment and are still yet to be seen by the service?
4. As of May 2023, how many children and young people have been waiting longer than 12 months for an initial assessment and are still yet to be seen by the service?
5. As of May 2023, how many children and young people have been waiting longer than 24 months for an initial assessment and are still yet to be seen by the service.
6. As of May 2023, how many children and young people have been waiting longer than 36 months for an initial assessment and are still yet to be seen by the service.
7. As of May 2023, how many children and young people have been waiting longer than 48 months for an initial assessment and are still yet to be seen by the service.
