I would be most grateful if you would provide me, under the Freedom of Information Act, details in respect to the contract below.

Asbestos Surveying and Removal Works — PP671

The details we require are:

• Is there an extension clause in the contracts and, if so, the duration of the extension?
• Has a decision been made yet on whether the contracts are being either extended or renewed?
• Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for this contract?

Thank you for your email regarding the Freedom of Information request.


As you may be aware, Yorkshire Housing is not subject to the Freedom of
Information Act, but we will endeavour to provide answers to requests when
we are able. Yorkshire Housing aims to be accessible, accountable and
transparent to customers and other stakeholders in our work.


The Information Commissioner states that the Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) only applies to public bodies.


The only two exceptions to this are:

(a) the company is wholly owned by a public body or public bodies

(b) you are holding the information on behalf of a public body only
applies to ‘public body’


As Yorkshire Housing is not a public body we are not obliged to disclose
this information.


Unfortunately on this occasion Yorkshire Housing will not be providing the
requested information.
