Article 61 of the Magna Carta, Lawful Dissent and Oaths

Norwich City Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Norwich City Council,

I have some questions in regards to correspondence received by Norwich City Council in regards to Article 61 of the Magna Carta, Lawful Dissent and Oaths.

Since Covid, many people have began to claim that under “Article 61” of Magna Carta they have the right to lawfully dissent or rebel if they believe they’re being governed unjustly. They contact Police, Courts and Local Authorities to "declare an Oath of allegiance to the Committee of the Barons whom invoked Article 61of the 1215 Magna Carta". These Notices and Oaths are often used in an effort to bypass Covid restrictions and for the avoidance of Council Tax.

I have the following questions regarding this...

1. How many, if any, notices has Norwich City Council received in regards to the following. If so, how many?
 • Notice of Conditional Acceptance
 • Notice of Default Opportunity to Cure
 • Notice of Default
 • Notice of Coercion to Aid and Abet High Treason
 • Notice to Stop

(To aid in your search, these are usually received by the Leader of the Council and Chair of the Council and the Notice of Conditional Acceptance usually contains statements similar to "I am writing to declare an Oath of allegiance to the Committee of the Barons whom invoked Article 61 of the 1215 Magna Carta on the 23rd March 2001 and, that I am hereby standing with lawful excuse to “distress” the Crown, and cannot by Royal Proclamation aid and abet it in any way whatsoever, including Norfolk County Council whom may/are making, or may in future make demands on me to comply with unlawful legislation, I herby attempt to pre-empt any such unlawful behaviour by Declaration of my lawful standing herein.")

2. What is the Council general response to receiving these notices?

3. Have you received any notices or correspondence about Article 61 of the Magna Carta that relate to witholding Council Tax? If so, how many?

Yours faithfully,

Mrs. S Smith
