Arrest rates for people with mental disorders

Dear Derbyshire Constabulary,

I am writing on behalf of Revolving Doors Agency to make an open government request for all the information to which we are entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
We would like to know the following:

In 2017, what was the total number of adults arrested by the police?
AND
In 2017, what was the total number of adult arrestees with a diagnosed mental disorder, including intellectual disability?

I would like the above information to be provided to me as electronic copies.

If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to it, with page references and URLs if necessary.

If the release of any of this information is prohibited on the grounds of breach of confidence, I ask that you supply me with copies of the confidentiality agreement and remind you that information should not be treated as confidential if such an agreement has not been signed.
I understand that you are required to respond to my request within the 20 working days after you receive this letter. I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request.

Your request will now be considered in accordance with the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (the Act). You should expect to receive a response
within the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act,
subject to the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a
third party. In some circumstances Derbyshire Constabulary may be unable
to achieve this deadline. If this is likely you will be informed and given
a revised timescale at the earliest opportunity.

 

There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of
the information you request. If this is the case you will be informed and
the 20 working day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment
from you. If you choose not to make payment then your request will remain
unanswered.

 

Some requests may also require either full or partial transference to
another public authority in order to answer your query in the fullest
possible way. Again, you will be informed if this is the case.
