Armed Forces Compensation Scheme definition of injury
Dear Ministry of Defence,
Please provide all documentation, legislation and regulations that reflect the decision making process of where an individual sits in the AFCS tables/tariffs when the specific injury/illness is not listed.
Documentation required includes but is not limited to: regulations relating to AFCS levels and payments, desk instructions for staff new to the department and the role, any notes and advise given to staff involved in the appeals, tribunals of AFCS
What qualifications and training are staff provided or required for the position? If someone is assessing mental health applications, must they be specifically trained in mental health and to what standard? How are they trained in understanding the complexity of how people are affected by individual injuries?
