Dear Bradford City Council,

I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information regarding your apprenticeships. Please provide:

1 Copy of Employer engagement practice Policy/Document

2 Copy of Complaints policy, procedure and process Policy

3 Copy of Contract for services with employers Policy

4 Copy of the Commitment statement Policy/Document

5 Copy of your process for performing initial assessments of apprentices prior learning Policy/Document

6 Copy of your process for delivering English and Maths to apprentices Policy/Document

7 Copy of your plan for continuity of apprenticeship training Policy/Document

8 Copy of your safeguarding policy Policy/Document

9 Copy of policy or practice that complies with the prevent duty Policy/Document

10 Copy of your process for professional development of your employees Policy/Document

11 Copy of your process for evaluating quality of training and outcomes

12 How do you make your methods for delivering 20% On The Job relevant to the Frameworks or Standards you're offering?

13 How do you ensure your methods for delivering 20% On The Job meet the needs of employers and apprentices?

14 How are your employees teaching and training expertise been maintained and kept up to date through your professional development process?

15 How are your employees sector expertise been maintained and kept up to date through your professional development process?

If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request.

If you can identify any ways that my request could be refined I would be grateful for any further advice and assistance.

Question 8 – excerpt from our Terms & Conditions for Services document:

34          Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

34.1      The parties acknowledge that the performance of the Contractors
obligations under the Contract may require the Provider to be work on
duties of a Regulated Activity with ultimate responsibility for the
management and control of the Regulated Activity provided under this
Contract and for the purposes of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act
2006.

34.2      The Provider shall :

34.2.1  ensure that all individuals engaged in Regulated Activity are
subject to a valid enhanced disclosure check for regulated activity
undertaken through the Disclosure and Barring Service; and

34.2.2  monitor the level and validity of the checks under this clause for
each member of staff.

34.2.3  not employ or use the services of any person who is barred from,
or whose previous conduct or records indicate that he or she would not be
suitable to carry out Regulated Activity or who may otherwise present a
risk to Service Users.

34.3      The Provider warrants that at all times for the purposes of this
Contract it has no reason to believe that any person who is or will be
employed or engaged by the Provider in the provision of the Services is
barred from the activity in accordance with the provisions of the
Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 and any regulations made
thereunder, as amended from time to time.

34.4      The Provider shall immediately notify the Council of any
information that it reasonably requests to enable it to be satisfied that
the obligations of this clause have been met.

The Provider shall refer information about any person carrying out the
Services to the DBS where it removes permission for such person to carry
out the Services (or would have, if such person had not otherwise ceased
to carry out the Services) because, in its opinion, such person has harmed
or poses a risk of harm to the Service Users OR children OR vulnerable
adults.

 

Question 9 – please state which policy you are referring to, as this is
not clear.

 

Question 10 – There is no one policy, as this is determined by each
individual professional body.

 

Question 11 – Our evaluations are done via our online Learning Management
System, please see the attached Evaluation specification documents for
details

 

Question 12 – By using professional judgement and considering evaluations.

Question 14 – By utilising and evaluating the professional development
