Appointments from Judicial Appointments Commission
Dear Judicial Office for England and Wales,
I have previously made a Freedom of Information Act request to the Judicial Appointments Commission asking for:
"the number of recommendations made by the Judicial Appointments Commission, that did not result in an appointment to any judicial office, per year from 2002-2017."
They responded stating that:
" this information is not collated by the JAC. Recommended candidates are forwarded to the Judicial Office to pursue appointment, who will then discuss the appointment terms with each
candidate and complete the final details. You may therefore want to contact the Judicial Office for this information."
Can the Judicial Office provide this information?
Please treat this as a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Yours faithfully,
Jonathan Deans
