Dear J Roberts
I write further to previous correspondence with a response under the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I have written out your questions and provided an answer underneath. I
have taken your reference to 2019/20 to mean 6 April 2019-5 April 2020. In
the context of your request, I have also assumed you are referring to
final tribunals rather than Interim Order Tribunals.
1. Of all MPT hearings concluded in 2019/20, please state how many of
them proceeded in the absence of medical practitioners.
53.
2. For the year 2019/20, please provide the number of hearings where
tribunals decided that papers were not properly served.
One.
3. For hearings concluded in the year 2019/20, please provide the number
of medical practitioners who legally challenged your determinations on the
basis that papers were not properly served. Specify how many of these
challenges were successful.
In practice, the route for challenging MPT determinations would be by
bringing a s40 appeal. None have been made based upon the argument that
the Doctor had not been properly served with the Rule 15 Notice of
Allegation.
I hope this information is helpful.

Kind Regards
Matt

If a doctor is White and the outcome for a GMC hearing is obvious if the doctors attends. Then it is the doctor's best interest not to attend or make representation or spend any money.
If a doctor is Black or Asian then the outcome of the hearing is already negative against the doctor if it is not a first hearing; it is in their best interest not to participate but move on with their lives as this is a private unregistered tribunal not designed for honesty, fairness or justice. Unless it is a first hearing for something minor or agreed with the GMC and White representatives. It is what it is.
