application from Golwg360

Perry Icso made this Freedom of Information request to Welsh Book Council
This authority is not subject to FOI law, so is not legally obliged to respond (details).
This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Welsh Book Council,

I am writing in connection with an FOI request that I made to the Welsh Government. I asked them for a copy of the application for funding received from Golwg360, but they replied that I would have to ask you on that point. The whatdotheyknow.com site admins have kindly added you to the website so that I can ask you this query in public, although they acknowledge that you are probably not formally subject to the Act. I would appreciate if you would please provide a copy of the funding application you received from Golwg360. The most recent one is probably best, but if it is thin on detail on the basis of being for a continuation of existing funding then please can you send their original one.

Note that although I am writing to you in English on this occasion, it is absolutely fine for you to provide copies of materials received in Welsh without translating them.

Many thanks.

Yours faithfully,
Perry Icso

Perry Isco,

Thank you for your e-mail and your FOI request.
You are correct to note that we do not that the Council is not subject to
the Act but we will respond in due course.

Just to note that the Golwg 360 application will be in Welsh which you
have stated will not be a problem for you.

With thanks
Elwyn Jones

Dear Perry Icso,

Further to our correspondence last week I attach for your attention the
copy of the application presented by Golwg 360 for the Welsh-language
on-line news service tender.
The income and expenditure supplements are not included due to the
commercial sensitive nature of the information.
Details of Golwg's financial accounts can be viewed elsewhere.

As you rightly note in your email the Books Council is not subject to the
FOI Act but we are pleased to enclose the information for your attention.
