Dear Public Carriage Office,

A large number of black taxis have been left, apparently abandoned in a deteriorating condition in L B Waltham Forest for some considerable time without consideration for local residents.
An example of one such vehicle (VRM: LM08 EPV) currently situated in The Charter Road and is in such poor condition.
There are approximately 25 of these taxis of similar age all left without care or seemingly regular attention.
My question relates to the identity of the inconsiderate operator of these licensed vehicles.
Please confirm the operators details.
Yours faithfully,
Mr. S. Cox

Dear Mr Cox

Please accept my apologies that you have not yet received a response to your query of 17 August 2017. Requests taken forward under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) are requests for recorded information held by a public authority.

As your email of 17 August was considered to be a complaint issue regarding taxis being left, it was more appropriate to be investigated and responded to by our Taxi and Private Hire team (TPH) as part of there regulatory role and not as an FOI request.

I have re-sent your email to TPH and asked them to respond to you as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely

Emma Flint
