Dear The FOI Team,
Many thanks for the swift response. I will follow up with the charity but in the meantime please answer the following questions that that made up the APD Support UK FOI to LA's across the country:
1) Do you have an APD policy, If so, could you please refer us to it on your website, or
send us a copy.
2) Do you have a Sensory Support team, Hearing Impaired/HI team or Teacher of the Deaf, or
equivalent?
3) If so, do they (the Sensory Support team, Hearing Impaired/HI team or Teacher of the Deaf, or
equivalent) follow NatSIP guidelines regarding the support of APD within the school setting?
4) When recommendations are made by a professional for a learner with APD, do you provide
and support any recommended equipment, e.g., FM systems?
5) Would the LA expect the educational setting to provide and support FM systems?
6) Would you like to consider adding APD Support UK to your local offer?
EXTRA information requested: Please confirm the dates and versions of all APD Policies since implementation.
Yours sincerely,
Jacqui Prentice

Dear IGTeam,
Many thanks for the quick turnaround of the review however I am concerned that this has been done in haste and not robustly as some of the answers are nonsensical. In particular:
2) appears to be inaccurate, according to the Local Offer Reading LA are one of 6 that make up the Berkshire Joint Agreement and fund the Berskshire Sensory Consortium. Please advise?
4) the council do not provide equipment but would support any recommendations. It is unclear what exactl this means - please calrify
5) The council wouldn't expect the education setting to provide however after suitable training would expect the education setting to support any equipment purchased - is also unclear . Please clarify who is therefore expected to purchase any equipment if it is neither the the council nor the educational setting?
Yours sincerely,
Jacqui Prentice
