I write in connection with your request for information which was received
by the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) on 05/10/2020.  I note you seek
access to the following information:

 

Pls tell me under FOI: 
1) Does the Met have contracts with AnyVision or IndigoVision
2) Has the Met been in discussion with either or both the above companies
over the introduction of Facial Recognition Technology 
3) Has the Met attended promotional events organised by the above
companies 
4) Does the Met have contracts or use equipment provided by Briefcam? 
5) Has the Met attended promotional events organised by the Briefcam
6) Does the force receive any services or have any contracts with
Briefcam, if so what are they? 
7) can you tell me whether the force uses a software package called
Artificial Intelligence, supplied by IndigoVision/Briefcam?

 

This is to inform you that the MPS are unable to proceed with your request
as we require further information from you.  

 

Please can you provide a time frame for your request and also could you
define what is meant by ‘discussion’ and ‘organised’ for the purposes of
these queries to help narrow down your request?

 

After receiving your reply, your request will then be considered and you
will receive a response within the statutory timescale of 20 working days.

 

However, if the requested additional information has not been received
by 17/11/2020 I will assume you no longer wish to proceed with this
request and will treat it as withdrawn.

 

Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please
contact me using the email or postal addresses at the top of this
