Subject: Any discussions re Croydon Council leasing 518 Purley Way Croydon
CR0 4RE

Your request is being considered and you will receive a response within
the statutory timescale of 20 working days, subject to the application of
any exemptions. Where consideration is being given to exemptions the 20
working day timescale may be extended to a period considered reasonable
depending on the nature and circumstances of your request. In such cases
you will be notified and, where possible, a revised time-scale will be
indicated. In all cases we shall attempt to deal with your request at the
earliest opportunity.

If we are unable to provide you with the information requested we will
notify you of this together with the reason(s) why, and details of how you

Further to your request received on 02/06/2023, I confirm that the Council
has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000. Specifically, you have requested the following information:

 

"518 Purley Way Croydon CR0 4RE

Please provide copies of all correspondence memos and / or notes relating
to all & any discussions between your Council & any of its officers
employees or councillors regarding your council taking a lease of this
property or any other agreement re provision of housing at these premises 
to be used directly or indirectly by your Council  or any associated party
or any provider of housing to your Council

This request is made as Mr Shujat Khan  has claimed he had entered into
some agreement  regarding  these premises with  your  Council following
discussions with a friend who he described as " being senior in your
housing department "

Mr Khan is a director of 28 companies according to Companies Registry
including 518 Limited, Envision Contracting limited, KB World Limited, KB
Real Estate Limited ,

K B World state  on their web site "  Since its inception in 2015 KB Real
Estate Management has earned its reputation as a leading Housing &
Property Management in & around South England . ---   We have a proven
track record in consistently providing housing options to a variety of
Councils & boroughs across the South of England  We are essentially a one
stop solution for all housing needs."

 

We can confirm that the building in question is not owed by the Council
and we have no record of either discussion or seeking to enter into any
agreements.
