Dear Norfolk Constabulary,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Norfolk Constabulary's handling of my FOI request 'Anti-social behaviour patrols - Police Cadets'.

You claim in your response that Norfolk Police Cadets do not carry out ASB patrols yet on 11th January 2018 A/Insp Mick Andrew claimed via a social media post on Twitter;

"Thetford Police Cadets heading out on ASB patrols of the town centre @BrecklandPolice @NorfolkPolice #community"

This link confirms the social media post and I have a screenshot of the tweet should someone choose to delete it although it currently remains on Twitter:

https://twitter.com/SgtMAndrew/status/95...

Please now reconsider your response in light of the claims made by one of your officers.

Many thanks

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...

Here you have a UK Police Force blatantly lying about a Public statement one of their officers has made on social media. ASB is clearly an acronym for 'Anti social behaviour' yet Norfolk Constabulary claim that it is a) not what the Police officer meant when tweeting in relation to cadets and b) blames the twitter character limit for the confusion.

No wonder the Public struggles to trust the Police when they behave like this over such a minor issue :-(
