Darryl J Lee (Mr.)

Dear Her Majesty’s Treasury,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Her Majesty’s Treasury's handling of my FOI request '[Anti] Money Laundering and [Anti] Terroist Funding law.'.

Thank you for confirming that you hold the information requested.

You seek to refuse my Request on the ground that Section 14.1 of the Freedom of Information Act is engaged.

You suggest that it would require a disproportionate amount of effort to search for emails with the desired subject title.

Section 14.1 is not related to disproportionate effort; Section 14.1 can only be engaged where a Request is found to be a Vexatious one. You do not suggest that my Request is Vexatious.

For that reason, I request an internal Review of your reason to refuse.

If it would cause my Request to be less time consuming, I am happy to amend my Request for disclosure of only emails sent from the HMT email address I asked about. (This would slash the potential disclosure by at least 50%).

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...

Yours faithfully,

Darryl J Lee (Mr.)

Dear FOI Requests,

Thank you for conducting an Internal Review.

I note that my offer to limit my Request to only email sent from HMT (specified email address) has been accepted as new Request under the FOI Act received by HMT on 20th October 2017.

I suspect that the Request will still within an exemption but as you have kindly accepted to consider it I will await your formal response.
