Anthrax production for Gulf War 1991.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Ministry of Defence should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Having read Global literature/research on Gulf War.

Q1 Is it correct that MOD did not receive Anthrax supplies from the U.S, however UK developed our own using the U.S formula/culture ?

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Defence's handling of my FOI request 'Anthrax production for Gulf War 1991

MOD asked me to clarify, whether i meant the Anthrax vaccine or the original bacteria Anthrax is then produced from. Insinuating 1 of them was supplied by the U.S. as it would have been simple to syate neither were and avoid wasting both parties time.

The fact that MOD have stated before that U.S dod not supply Anthrax vaccine, ee developed our own, led me to the question surrounding the bacteria / culture.

Please clarify if U.S anthrax bacteria was used to develope our own Anthrax from which in turn was used on our troops 1991 Gulf War.

Thankyou

Dear CIO-FOI-IR (MULTIUSER),

Thankyou for your response!

I still can't seem to get to the bottom of where the original bacteria for Porton Down to then develope the Anthax in 1990/91.

I requested previously if Anthrax vaccine or Anthrax bacteria was supplied by U.S.
I was asked which one. Which suggested 1 of them was, else the response was simple. None of them

It was pointed out previously through FOI, that U.S formula was used for Anthax.

So then if the bacteria was U.S supplied and i am directed to a new private company founded in 2015, who are not a public organisation therefore required by law to answer.

I would like MOD dept at (Porton Down ) to answer the simple question.

Please excuse if i repeat myself , memory issues is part of the gulf illnesses we suffer.
