Annual Leave policy

The request was successful.

Dear Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council,

Please can you send me a copy of your staff annual leave policy? I would also like to ask how annual leave is calculated for employees leaving/joining during the annual leave year of entry or leaving.

Yours faithfully,

A Gilbert

Dear Mr Gilbert,

I am writing in response to your request for information (FOI 46071).

The relevant Council Service(s) has searched for the requested information
and our response is as follows:

Please can you send me a copy of your staff annual leave policy? I would
also like to ask how annual leave is calculated for employees
leaving/joining during the annual leave year of entry or leaving.

Please see attached a copy of our annual leave policy. Leave for people
starting/leaving the organisation during the leave year is automatically
calculated by our payroll system, however I have attached the annual leave
calculator from the intranet which is what we advise managers to use to
calculate the remaining leave for employees who are leaving the
organisation mid-leave year.

If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request for
information, you are entitled to ask for an internal review; however you
must do so within 40 working days of the date of this response. Any
internal review will be carried out by a senior member of staff who was
not involved with your original request. To ask for an internal review,
contact [1][email address] in the first instance.

If you are unhappy with the outcome of any internal review, you are
entitled to complain to the Information Commissioner. To do so, contact:
