Annual Expenditure on Missing Children

Home Office did not have the information requested.

Dear Home Office,

I'm writing to enquire how much money and resource the UK Police force currently spends on finding missing children. Could you please furnish me with -

1) How many cases of missing children are currently open?

2) How much money and man hours are currently being spent on open investigations in missing children?

3) Can you break that down by ethnic origin and gender of each child. So can you tell me the average spend on each case for-
A white male child
A white female child
A BME male child
A BME female child

4) Can you furnish me with the same numbers for both open and closed cases in the last 5 years. Letting me know how many cases of missing children there have been in the last 5 years, how many police and man hours have been devoted to these cases and in turn what was the average amount of man hours and money spent for children who are BAME and children who are white.

Yours faithfully,

Benali Hamdache
