We're waiting for Aliye Aytekin to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Home Office,

I am studying Business Law and conducting my research of dissertation on Ankara Agreement.

I would like to find out how a couple of things:

1. A statistical table for how many applications that have been made for the past 5 years and how many of these have been accepted, refused and how many have been considered as sham applications.

2. What is the process for the applications that has been identified as 'sham' application?

3. Would you be able to provide me with three completely anonymous letter examples that you have sent to applicants for 'sham' application stating the reasons and that you as a team have identified that this is a sham application.

If you could answer these questions before the 15th of April, I would be delighted as the hand in date for my dissertation is the 20th.

Thank you ever so much for your help.

Yours faithfully,

Aliye AYTEKIN

Dear FOI Requests,

regarding 1 of my questions about the letter request, I would like to add that the letter could be something that home office provides to me in a form of a letter to state that there has been and are many many sham applications. I am writing this because I appreciate if you cannot provide me with existing letters that you sent to your applicants due to confidentiality even if you make it anonymous.

With the letter provided,my dissertation research will hopefully prove that Ankara Agreement is both beneficial to the governments involved but is being abused by the users.

Any information provided about 'sham' in other words 'false' applications that you can provide for my research is really appropriated.

Yours sincerely,

Aliye Aytekin
