21^st September 2024.

For ease of reference, I have reproduced your questions below and set out

1. Can you please give me the data for the last 3 years on the total
number of animals the University have used in non-regulated procedures.

10,417 rodents were used in non-regulated procedures. Typically these
procedures were breeding and maintenance of normal animals (known as
wild-types).

2. Out of the total number of animals the University have used in
non-regulated procedures can you split this into 2 categories -wild
animals and other species.

All rodents were laboratory bred. Hence the 10,417 can be considered as
‘other’.
