Dear Caroline,
Ref: 14824
Thank you for your email, from our preliminary assessment, it is clear
that we will not be able to answer your request without further
clarification.
We require further information in order to identify and locate the
information you have asked for. In particular, it would be useful to know
what is meant by ‘non-regulated procedures’. It would also be helpful to
know how you define ‘wild animals’ and ‘other species’.
Once you have clarified your request, we will be able to begin to process
your request. If I do not receive clarification within three months your
request will be considered to have lapsed. Please note that under section
1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, we need not comply with a
request unless any further information reasonably required to locate the
information is supplied.
Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future
communications.
Kind Regards,
Canterbury Christ Church University
Dear [email address],
Thank you for asking me to clarify what I am asking for, I am seeking information about any procedures undertaken on animals that fall outside those defined in the 1986 ASPA and its amendments at the university and are not subject to the project licences required for regulated procedures.
for example:
Breeding wild type animals (i.e. ones that are not genetically modified).
Wild type animals perhaps killed for tissue collection
Wild type animals used for colony health screening.
Wild animals as defined by the home office.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
caroline betts
