Andover BID levy information request

The request was successful.

Dear Test Valley Borough Council,

We require the information of how many businesses (heraditiments) have not paid their enforceable BID levy by the imposed deadline (May 1st 2019).

How many businesses have been sent the letter threatening court action following "non payment" of the levy.

Yours faithfully,

Andover Radio Limited

RevenuesFOI, Test Valley Borough Council

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request received on 9 July 2019. This is being dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The information requested is held by the Council.

The number of businesses which had not paid the BID levy as at 1st May 2019 was 151. We have checked these figures again today and the number that are currently outstanding is 62.

On the 2nd July 2019 we issued 59 reminder notices for outstanding BID payments. The reason that this total is lower than the number of currently outstanding balances are that formal reminders were not issued to businesses that have confirmed payment will be made imminently or because a new bill has been issued and the due date for payment has not yet been reached.

If you are unhappy with the way your request for information has been handled, you can request a review by writing to Legal and Democratic Services at [email address].

If you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your request or complaint, you have a right to appeal to the Information Commissioner at:
