Analysis on operation of s22 of GRA 2004
Dear Scottish Government,
In the 2019 consultation on the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill, the Scottish Government committed itself to "consider before any Bill to reform the GRA is introduced to Parliament if further exceptions to section 22 should be made, by way of a further
Order under section 22(6) [and] Scottish Government guidance on section 22 should be issued."
Please provide details of all analysis undertaken by the Scottish Government with specific regard to the operation of section 22 of the Gender Recognition Act 2004 after 17 March 2020 and prior to the introduction of the Bill to the Scottish Parliament on 2 March 2022.
Yours faithfully,
L Mackenzie
