Amount of Ministerial Records Destroyed
Dear Ministry of Defence,
could you please let me know how many Ministerial files have been destroyed under the 20 or 30 year rule instead of being released to the National Archives for the years 2016 and 2017 by the MOD Review Team.
Yours faithfully,
Mr Steve Morgan

Dear DBS KI-RR FOI (MULTIUSER),
Could I please clarify that the figures I require include D/Min files as well as MO files. Not sure how you came to the conclusion that I would only want MO files figures, seeing as Ministerial means Ministerial, for example Minister (Armed Forces), Minister (Defence Procurement) etc
Yours sincerely,
Steve Morgan
Dear Mr Morgan,
We have extended the report to include
D/USofS(AF)
D/Min(DP)
USofS(DP)
D/MIN(AF)
D/USofS/RMC
and the revised number of files destroyed is:
2016 - 31
2017 - 26.
We have again interpreted your question as 2016 being for files with a first enclosure date of between 1 Jan 1989 and 31 Dec 1990 and for 2017 a first enclosure date of between 1 Jan 1991 and 31 Dec 1992.
