Amount of departmental spending on wave power

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department of Energy and Climate Change,

I would like to request the amount of departmental spending on wave power research, construction, maintenance and deconstruction for UK. I would like the spending broken down by:

1. The type of wave power, that is tidal stream farms, barrages, tidal lagoons and those that don't fit into any of the categories mentioned.

2. Category of spending in the supplementary budgetary report
(http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/d/sbi66_de...). Examples of
categories that seem most likely are:
- Supporting affordable, secure and sustainable energy
- Bringing about a low-carbon UK

AND

3. Time: I would like this information broken down annually from 2003 up to the time this request is answered. The years should be consistent with those in the supplementary budgetary report
(http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/d/sbi66_de...)

I realise that the Department for Energy and Climate Change has only been in existence for a year and so I would like the equivalent spending from BERR to be included in this request.

I would like the spending to be in an Excel spreadsheet.

Yours faithfully,

Lisa Evans
