Dear Scottish Ambulance Service,
Can I please have the following information
1.Do SORT paramedics have an extended scope of practice in clinical interventions eg ketimine etc
2. Do scotlands charity air ambulances paramedic have the ability to do any interventions and land paramedic wouldn't, if so what?
3. Do SCAA helicopter have any equipment a land ambulance wouldn't, if so what?
4. What can an advanced practitioner in urgent care do that a normal paramedic can't, also what vehicles do APs travel in
5. Can I have a list of what ambulance stations critical care paramedics are located at and what stations urgent care practitioners are located at.
6.Can I get a full scope of practice of what each level of person can do eg what a technician can do what a paramedic can do, what a Critical care paramedic can do what an ambulance care assistant can do. Like airway management ect and what drugs they can give.
7. Can I have a list of all equipment on an ambulance including the response bags and all drugs carried.
8. Does the service still use motorcycles/ push bikes, if so where and how many.
9. Does the service use mental health cars?
10. Would you ever send a police car or fire engine to a cardiac arrest?
11. In what circumstances would more that 1 ambulance be sent to a patient.
12. What levels of calls do you have and what are response times for them?
13. When are mid tier vehicles used and what equipment/staff do they have?
