Dear East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust,
You have sent an initial response. However it did not indicate whether the ambulances were particularly busy during the period. Was there any emergency that was dealt with?

Dear Roger,

Thank you for your email dated 06th September, where you requested information regarding the East of England Ambulance Service.
The Trust interpreted your first request as the number of resources available in the Wisbech area during a certain time period. You have now asked if the ambulances were busy or any emergencies during this time, this will take time to process, and as such we are logging this as a new request and will respond within 20 working days. Your request has been allocated the reference 12496

Yours sincerely

FoI Officer

Dear Roger,

Further to your email on the 5th August 2017, please find the Trust’s response below. Your request has been allocated the following reference: 12115 please quote this reference in any future correspondence with the Trust.

I would like to enquire as to the availability of ambulances/paramedics in the Wisbech area 18.00-23.00hrs on 20.07.17.

On the 20th July 2017 from 1800 – 2300 the Trust had the following resources based in Wisbech –

0645 – 1845 we had x 2 DSA (45 minutes of cover for the time frame requested, 18:00-18:45)

1600 – 0200 – Fully crewed DSA

1845 – 0645 – Fully crewed DSA

1800 – 0600 – RRV

Please note these vehicles started their shifts in Wisbech but during their shifts they could be moved into dealing with incidents across the Trusts area of operation, also other vehicles from other parts of West Norfolk or Peterborough could have responded to incidents in the Wisbech area at this time

I am obliged to advise you that if you are dissatisfied with the Trust’s response to your request you have a right to complain to the Trust and should set out your concerns to the Freedom of Information Officer, EEAST, Hospital Approach, Broomfield, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 7WS or by email to [East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust request email]. If you remain dissatisfied following this, you have a right under Section 50 of the FOIA to seek a determination from the Information Commissioner on whether the Act has been properly applied by the Trust.
