Ambulance call outs in Wales

The request was successful.

Dear South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,

I write about cross border ambulance call outs and would be grateful if you could provide me with the following information:

1. How many times were ambulances dispatched to Wales in the years 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19?

2. If possible, how many staff hours were spent attending incidents in Wales during these years?

With thanks in advance for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Bleddyn ap Dafydd

1. How many times were ambulances Please see attached Excel workbook for
dispatched to Wales in the years your information. Please note the
2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19? following caveats:

·         Due to data system/reporting

indicative purposes only. The figures
may not reflect the true number of
dispatches to Wales.
2. If possible, how many staff Please see attached Excel workbook for
hours were spent attending your information. The figures were
incidents in Wales during these calculated by adding (for each incident)
years? the following: the time between a

resource booked ‘clear’ (i.e. ready to
respond to a further incident).

As above please note this is a
non-standard metric and should not form
the  basis of any onward publication or
research.
